Event Description: Bring a friend and join us for our Urbandale Area Democrats’ monthly meeting. All are welcome! Our meetings typically consist of party business, candidate visits, speakers on topics of interest, event planning, and more.

Guest Speakers tonight include:

U.S. Senate Candidate Zach Wahls – Zach is a sixth-generation Iowan, an Eagle Scout, a new dad and currently a State Senator. Zach is running to bring a new generation of leadership to U.S. Senate.

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Candidate Chris Jones – Chris has a PhD in analytical chemistry and has worked as a research engineer the University of Iowa studying contaminant hydrology in agricultural landscapes. Chris is currently a candidate for Iowa's Secretary of Agriculture.

Iowa House 46 Candidate Erin Helleso – Erin is a small business owner and a 20-year resident of Grimes. Erin sees how the system is broken and is running for Iowa House District 46 to represent her friends and neighbors.

ACLU of Iowa – Will be providing a short presentation on the civil rights and civil liberties implications of automated license plate readers in Iowa.
