We CAN'T let the Epstein/Ghislain Maxwell crimes go! There must be accountability! RELEASE ALL EPSTEIN FILES TO THE PUBLIC!!! Stand up for the victims of their horrific crimes!
Friday is National Food Bank day - Let's write messages on empty paper plates and talk to staff about the SNAP cuts and high grocery prices due to tariffs. This is a great opportunity to get some publicity around the GOPs harmful cuts to families, seniors, veterans, and kids.
We are calling them out for their votes supporting the OBBB, that is funding the terror in our own streets with; ICE, DHS, and US military-people trained for battle! They must show their faces, identify themselves, show their badges, provide judge-signed warrants with the names of those apprehended, and explain Miranda rights. There must be accountability and transparency.
We call, send emails, AND we show up in person to rally and visit their offices. EVERY FRIDAY!
Please bring your signs, letters and comments with your contact information, to be delivered to Senators Ernst and Grassley staffers. (Include your contact information so your concerns are registered and you receive a response.)
We will also visit Representative Nunn's office...although they are rarely available! Several weeks of the office being closed!

Have you ever seen a problem in your community and wished you could do something about it? Maybe talked to a neighbor or two about their thoughts on it, but didn't know what to do next?
Join this interactive workshop to learn about community organizing - the practice CCI uses to build power with and for everyday Iowans to tackle the issues we face.
Attendees will:
-learn what we mean by community organizing and what makes it different from advocacy or lobbying;
-hear from a CCI member about a recent campaign and win; and
-learn the four P's of organizing and leave with the basics for how to start thinking about organizing on an issue in your community.
This workshop is for anyone newer to Iowa CCI or curious about community organizing. We know the solutions we need to the issues we face. And we know that by working together, change is possible - that's community organizing!
You don't have to be an Iowa CCI member to attend, but we hope you'll join!

NO KINGS: 1,000,000 Rising, Session 2-How to Make It Happen Training · Volunteer organized for Indivisible
Event Description: NO KINGS: 1,000,000 Rising, Session 2-How to Make It Happen
A date for No Kings 2.0 has been set... Saturday, October 18th, 2025!
Across the country, authoritarian forces are getting bolder and more dangerous. Trump and his allies are not hiding their agenda: mass deportations, rollbacks of civil rights, weaponized courts, and full-scale attacks on our democracy.
We don’t have to wait until it’s too late. We can stop this. But it’ll take all of us—not just on single days of mass action, but through sustained organizing in our communities.
One Million Rising—is a national effort to train one million people in the strategic logic and practice of non-cooperation, as well as the basics of community organizing and campaign design.
This is how we build people power that can’t be ignored.
Session 2: How to Make it Happen
We are building a force bigger than fear and louder than hate. Let’s get ready. Let’s get organized. Let’s stop Trump.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
We recommend all participants review our safety and security resource before the event: https://indivisi.org/safety

Event Description: ACLU is inviting everyone in our activist community to join our People Power Team for a Know Your Rights Training on Friday, September 5, 7 p.m. CT.

What we've seen in D.C. over the last few weeks is not only an egregious abuse of power – it's over-policing that specifically targets Black people, unhoused people, and immigrants. We, the people, cannot and will not let this continue.
So if you're planning to take to the streets in protest, as so many of us are right now, we want to be sure you stay safe and know your rights.

Event Description: Join ISEA members and allies from all across Iowa to join together in solidarity as we march in the Labor Day parade. We will have some short speeches before we begin.
RSVP HERE TO ATTEND AND FOR MORE INFO!
Labor and community are planning more than a barbecue on Labor Day this year because we have to stop the out-of-state billionaire takeover. Just like any bad boss, the way we stop the takeover is with collective action. We are working people rising up to stop the billionaire takeover–not just through the ballot box or the courts, but through building a bigger and stronger movement. We are growing our movement and fighting for a country that is more fair, just, equitable, and free for all of us—and not just a chosen few.
On September 1st we will continue the movement we launched together on May 1st, standing in solidarity with all our communities under attack and fighting for real wins for all our people.
Please note: A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Our elected representation needs to hear from us CONSISTENTLY. We can't let them off the hook!
"We're all going to die," is an unacceptable response to constituent concerns.
"They'll get over it," is NOT how we are going to respond to the loss of healthcare, for ourselves, our neighbors, or the systems we rely on. We are not going to get over it. We demand better. We demand a budget that is 'for the people.'
We show up for people, no matter what.
Together we can do this. ~ Indivisible 515 Team

Democracy Camp Training with Swing Left Des Moines · Volunteer organized for Swing Left
Event Description: Democracy Camp Training with Swing Left Des Moines · Volunteer organized for Swing Left
Trump and his MAGA bullies are doing everything they can to dismantle our democracy—but we can come together in community and fight back. Together, we’ll learn how face-to-face conversations, whether at their door or out in the community, are the gold standard of engaging volunteers and turning out voters. At Swing Left, we believe that those conversations are more important than ever – and now’s the time to get started. Join us for a Democracy Camp training where we prepare to get out there this summer and start organizing in person to win.
Early conversations help us educate voters, combat misinformation, and show the community that we’re not waiting until right before the election to reach out. But the impact of a single conversation with a voter may only last a few weeks. That’s why, this early in the election cycle, we’re focused on innovative ways to have sustained or repeated contact with an individual, and engage voters and volunteers to share messages outside our typical activist networks.
Come learn more about how relational canvassing works and how you can get involved now to win in 2026.

Notes: The Dallas County Democratic Central Committee is comprised of Democrats from across all Dallas County voting precincts. This committee conducts and oversees the official business of the Democratic Party in Dallas County.
The Central Committee meets on a monthly basis. These are typically 1.5-hour meetings and are in person or via ZOOM.
There are 46 precincts in Dallas County starting in 2022 and we strive to have at least two Central Committee members from each precinct (92). We’re always looking for individuals to volunteer a small amount of time each month and a little more around the caucus and convention time of year (every even year 1st quarter).
Central Committee members are the backbone of our organization and help us in many ways be successful in electing Democrats each cycle! We need you and would love to have you join our next meeting (check out our events page)! Our main website is: https://www.dallascodems.org/
