The Governor has called a special session of the Iowa Legislature! Calling all available to the Capitol, today (Oct 2) at 10AM!

According to the DSM Register, a proposed Iowa steel plant could get more than $1.36 Billion in state tax credits!!!

Iowa lawmakers will consider expanding the states financial incentives for massive industrial projects (MEGA- Major Economic Growth Attraction program) to accommodate foreign-owned Mesabi Metalics' planned $15 Billion steel plant.

There is reason to be hesitant about this deal.

Before we hand over tax incentives, we should have a clear understanding of how it will effect Iowa and Iowans and that this will not become a financial burden for the state.
