EVENT DESCRIPTION: Join us for the Monday, February 2 Dallas County Democratic Caucuses. Together we can make 2026 the year Iowans had their voice heard!

On the evening of February 2 at 7:00 p.m., Democrats across Iowa will come together in their communities for the 2026 Iowa Democratic Party Caucuses. Caucuses are not only about picking presidential nominees, it is how your voice can make a difference in the direction of our party. You can find your caucus location below.

All registered Democrats are encouraged to participate, and we also welcome No Party and Republican voters who would like to change their registration and take part that night.

Why Caucus?
For starters, caucus night is a great reminder that you’re not alone. You’ll meet fellow Democrats from your Dallas County; people you may see regularly but never realized shared your values. Especially in today’s political climate, it matters to know that Democrats are present and engaged in Dallas County.

Your participation is also critical to strengthening our party as we head into the 2026 general election. This election cycle carries enormous stakes, even though it is not a presidential year. Iowa Democrats have real opportunities to win key statewide and federal offices, including open races for Governor and U.S. Senate and a chance to flip a U.S. House Seat. With a strong turnout, there is no reason that Dallas County should not be blue this fall.

TIME: 7:00 - 9:00 PM (Arrive early to check in. Attendees must be physically in line at the door by 7:00 PM to enter/participate.)

LOCATION: There are three caucus locations for Dallas County Democrats based on the precinct where you vote. Not sure which polling precinct you live in? Click here.

1) Prairieview School Waukee (655 SE University Ave, Waukee, IA 50263):

For Precincts: Waukee 1-10; Clive 5-8; West Des Moines 221-227; West Des Moines 321-322; Urbandale 14-18; Grimes/ Walnut.

2) Perry Public Library (1101 Willis Ave, Perry, IA 50220):

For Precincts: Spring Valley/Dallas; Perry 1; Perry 2; Perry 3; Beaver/Des Moines; Lincoln/Washington/Linn.

3) Adel Community House (1016 Main St, Adel, IA 50003):

For Precincts: Sugar Grove/Dallas Center; Adel township; Adel 1; Adel 2; Adel 3; Union; Adams Colfax; Van Meter City; Van Meter Township; Granger/Grant; De Soto.
